God now is His work of redemption on their behalf and their willingness to be reconciled to Him through the Seed of the women, identified in the New Testament as Christ (e.g., Gal 3:16). From this moment, God’s people are defined by their hope, an anticipation of the Redeemer’s return and complete reliance on His forgiving grace. By faith, they await the moment when the serpent will be crushed under the feet of the Seed of the woman (Gen 3:16). They leave the Garden as God’s people in a pilgrimage
